Installation Error 1001 – EdiVote® 100 / EdiVote® Pro Version 1.x

This message only appears if .Net Framework 3.5 on Windows 8 or 8.1 has not been activated. As soon as you activate .NET Framwork 3.5 the installation will succeed.

  • Open your control Panel
  • Go to Programs and Features

Press “Turn windows features on or off” and then Activate .NET Framework 3.5 

This option requires an Internet connection.

You can use the Windows installation media as the file source when you enable the .NET Framework 3.5 feature. To do this, follow these steps:

  • Insert the Windows installation media.
  • Open your Command Prompt as administrator:

Press the Windows key on your keyboard and type “cmd” > Right click the Command Prompt and select: “Run as administrator”

  • At an elevated command prompt, run the following command:

Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /All /Source:<drive>:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess

Note In this command, <drive> is a placeholder for the drive letter for the DVD drive or for the Windows 8 installation media. For example, you run the following command:

Dism /online /enable-feature /featurename:NetFx3 /All /Source:D:\sources\sxs /LimitAccess
