When you press the “Audience” button, a new window opens in which you can set your participants. By default, the window is empty.

Hinweis: In der Version CouncilARS™ Standard gibt es keine Schaltfläche “Passwörter anzeigen”, da diese nur bei dem Einsatz von Smartphones/Tablets/PC’s in CouncilARS™ Hybrid notwendig ist.

Participant Columns #

Seat #

This is the seat number for your participants. Seats 1-20 will be the first column of your view. Seat 21-40 the second and so on.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT CHANGE THE SEAT NUMBERS IN THE FIRST COLUMN AS THEY WILL BE REFERENCED INTERNALLY WHEN THE LAYOUT IS DISPLAYED IN ORDER AND WHEN THE PARTICIPANTS ARE ASSIGNED TO THE CORRECT PLACE.(opens in a new tab)

Keypad #

In this column you can set the keypad number that was given to the participant. The keypad number can be 0 to indicate that it is an inactive seat.

Please Note: By using the Keypad ID -1, you can Format the a line as a heading (e.g. as Fractionheading)

Presence #

You can pre-populate this field to show current members. However, CouncilARS™ also offers the possibility to check attendance at any time by asking your audience to press “1” to indicate that they are present. At the bottom of the window you will also find the option to set All participants with voting devices to Present or Absent.

Name #

Name of the participant. This can be empty if the place has no participant.

Fraction/Party #

Party for the participant in this seat. This may be empty if the seat has no participant or no party assigned.

Password (CouncilARS™ Hybrid only) #

Here you can change the password for a user if necessary. If you do not enter a password when importing, CouncilARS™ automatically creates 10-digit passwords for you.

Buttons #

Show passwords (CouncilARS™ Hybrid only)

Clear List #

This will delete all seats, keypads, names, parties and the current status in the overview.

Create new list #

Clicking this button will open a CSV file template that allows you to easily copy/paste your participants or enter your participants from other locations into CouncilARS™. Save this CSV file and then use the “Import Participant List” button to import your CSV file into CouncilARS™.

Import participant list #

After you have created and saved your CSV file via the Create new list button, you can import it at this point.

IMPORTANT: “SEAT” must be unique; all other fields can be 0 or empty. If you leave Password blank, this column will be filled in during import.(opens in a new tab)
